Podcast are an easy way to stay up-to-date on the design industry. Today it is so easy to discover and share these resources from a vast content universe. Here is a short list of six podcasts that I have grown to love. The first four help fill that well of design inspiration. The last two offer an escape.
Podcasts for Design Matters
Design Matters with Debbie Millman
Currently the longest running podcast covering design, each week Debbie Millman brings in a guest to talk about design or matters that affect the industry. She has been called “one of the most influential designers working today” by Graphic Design USA.
For those passionate about bringing design, tech, and business together, explore topics beyond the normal day-to-day of UX. Get to the heart of why we make our design decisions.
This is a small collection of interviews hosted by Anna Debenham and Brad Frost. The website offers not only links for the interviews, but great resources such as tools, books, and templates.
Featuring Local Designers
Creative Briefs and its hosts, Anastasia Lanz and John DeGore, covers the aspects of what inspires and motivates creatives. This is a great way for designers, who are new to their careers, to see how veterans avoid burn out and sustain their creativity.

This is not specifically for designers, but it gives us a look into where we could work. Startup follows what it’s really like to create and work for a startup. We have an intimate look into how founders struggle with bringing their ideas to life.
